At Oak Pointe, golf is about much more than the scorecard. It’s where neighbors become teammates, friendships grow, and traditions take shape season after season. ⛳

With 36 unique holes, men’s and women’s leagues, Thursday Couples Golf, tournaments, and junior programs, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the game. Thursday gatherings alone regularly bring together 50 to 80 golfers, with groups intentionally mixed to help neighbors make new connections. 🏌️

And when the final putt drops, the fun often continues at Bogey’s, where golfers gather for dinner, conversation, and time around the lakeside fire pits. It’s community at its best, both on and off the course. 💚

LACASA Center will celebrate its 45th anniversary at the 2026 Sapphire Gala on Friday, October 23rd, with dinner, auctions, a jewelry raffle, live music, classic and performance vehicles, and opportunities to connect with fellow supporters. ✨

Beyond the celebration is an important purpose. Every ticket, table, sponsorship, and donation helps LACASA continue providing emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, and compassionate care to people throughout Livingston County. 💙

For Paul and Kathy Grisdela, home has never been defined by an address. It is defined by the people gathered around them. 🏡

After raising five children and moving from Michigan to Illinois, Maryland, and eventually back home, Paul and Kathy arrived at Oak Pointe two years ago while beginning a new season of life. They quickly discovered a welcoming community filled with friendly neighbors, club activities, golf, lake days, and new traditions. 💚

Their story is a beautiful reminder that the greatest investment we make is in the people we love. Celebrate the Grisdela legacy in this month’s Stroll Oak Pointe. ✨
