The city of Bristol is announcing a new pedestrian island that will allow for the perfect photo of the Tennessee/Virginia marker that will minimize the amount of people trying to dodge traffic by getting photos in the middle of State Street. The island is expected to begin construction next week near the entrance of the Bristol Train Station.
