On New Year's Day Lower Bucks Source - Bucks Digital Media, LLC met with Morrisville Borough Councilmembers elect Peggy Walsh and Shawn Ratti for a wide ranging discussion on the future of the borough and challenges it is facing.
Walsh and Ratti on the record said would really like to reopen discussions on the 2026 budget, citing the 21 percent millage decrease because that kind of decrease shorts the police dept.
If you cut that decrease in half, they both said, and use the remaining funds to possibly hire a new police officer, that "would be the responsible thing to do."
Both had questions about a cell phone tower (see attached image) that just appeared in the area of Bridge St and S, Pennsylvania Ave.. Speculation is the tower is part of the group that is renting space on the Stockham Bldg. which LBS is trying to obtain more info about.
Morrisville Borough Council after tonight's reorg meeting divided in half, with the Mayor having the authority to break ties on council votes. How the council proceeds will be very interesting to keep ππ on -- J.B.
