What if the guilt you feel for outgrowing people… is the thing keeping you stuck?

📊 Harvard research shows most close friendships naturally fade every 7 years.

Not because of fights.
But because growth creates distance.

Here’s the truth:

If they were meant to be in your future…
They’d be growing with you.

Stop waiting for permission.
Your next level needs space.
Not approval.

Passion isn’t hype. It isn’t motivation. It isn’t excitement.

Real passion means you’ll keep going when it hurts.
When the feelings are gone.
When the suffering starts.

That’s why most New Year’s resolutions fade in a month. They were built on emotion, not conviction.

If you only do it when it feels good, it’s not passion.
If you’re willing to suffer for it, that’s different.

Live by conviction, not emotion.
That’s where real passion shows up.

FLASHBACK to RoofCon 2023.

People see big numbers and think that’s success. I don’t.
I look at the person who built a solid business, took care of their family, paid their bills, and stayed in the game. That alone puts you in the top 10% in America.

This isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon.
There is no overnight success, no shortcuts, no hacks. I’ve been doing this for 30 years. Started at 20. Still grinding every day because this is real life, not social media highlights.

Posting this because I’m back as the keynote speaker at RoofCon.
📍 January 6.

If you’re building for the long game, this room is for you.

Can't wait to see everyone there!

“This isn’t just networking. This is growth.”

That’s what Eddie Alvarez said after being in the room, and he nailed it.

When you bring together the biggest names in business, real operators, and people who actually care about getting better, something different happens. You don’t just learn how to grow a company. You learn how to grow yourself.

Eddie talked about fighting for the people behind you, not against the person in front of you. About building teams. About leadership. About why this room felt different.

The location.
The energy.
The people.
The five-star experience.

He said he learned more in one weekend than he did all year, and that’s exactly why this conference exists.

Grateful to have voices like Eddie Alvarez, Tim Tebow, and Jesse Cole sharing the stage, and even more grateful for the people in the seats who showed up ready to grow.

This wasn’t just about business.
It was about building better leaders, better teams, and better lives.

You don’t beg for respect.
You embody it.
You become the standard.

And when you do—
Your people don’t follow out of obligation.
They follow out of belief.

How many dreams end in “maybe later”?

📊 85% of professionals admit they delay goals simply because they “don’t feel ready.” (LinkedIn, 2022)

Now multiply that delay by 3 months...
Then a year...
Then a decade.

The ones who win?

They weren’t ready either.
They just showed up.

Let this be your wake-up call:

Start now.
Fix it as you go.
And thank yourself a year from now.

There are moments in this past years journey that hit different. This was one of them.

When someone looks you in the eye and tells you the weight they’ve carried for 30 years is finally lifted, you don’t think about business. You think about responsibility. Trust. The promise you made.

This wasn’t about money.
It was about freedom.
Peace of mind.
Waking up without that knot in your chest for the first time in decades.

I’ll never forget hearing him say, “For the first time, I woke up and that pressure wasn’t there.” That’s when it all becomes real. That’s why I do this.

I don’t take lightly when someone bets on me, my word, and the work. When I give my word, I mean it. Through the chaos, the doubt, the hard days, I’ll be there to steady the wheel and keep us moving forward.

This is bigger than business.
This is about changing the trajectory of a life.

I’m grateful. I’m proud. And I’ll never stop doing this work for the people who believe.

Team Family. Legacy.

Moments like this matter more than any deal, any exit, or any number on a scoreboard.

Nothing great is ever built alone. Businesses don’t grow in a vacuum. Success doesn’t happen without sacrifice. And the truth is, very few people actually understand what it takes — the commitment, the constant learning, the late nights, the early mornings, the pressure, the uncertainty — and most importantly, what families and teams give up so something meaningful can be built.

These people are the reason anything I’ve built exists.
They show up day after day.
They support when it’s hard.
They believe when it’s not obvious.

They sacrifice time, comfort, and certainty so growth can happen — not just in business, but in life.

I’m beyond grateful for every person who has taken this journey with me. For the loyalty, the trust, the patience, and the belief. I couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else.

This is what winning really looks like.
Building something great together — and having the people you love beside you while you do it.

Forever thankful. 🙏

For your own mental health, ignore the comments.

If you want entertainment, go to the comment section — it’s a circus.

Real feedback matters. From customers. From people in your business.
That I’ll always take seriously.

Random social media comments? Never.

The loudest critics usually have the least going on.

Here’s something I’ve noticed after doing this for a long time.

Very few people stay in the game long enough and keep growing.
And I think I know why.

Kids are fearless. They’ll try anything. They’re not scared to look stupid. They just want to learn.
Somewhere along the way, adults lose that.

Almost all of my success has happened in the last few years because I made a decision to stay in learning mode.
To take risks again. To be curious again. To move like a beginner.

Watching my kids reminds me of that every day.
That mindset is the real advantage.

Most entrepreneurs don’t own businesses.

They own jobs… with extra stress.

📊 According to a study by Infusionsoft, 66% of small business owners say they’re personally responsible for 3+ roles inside their company.

No systems.
No delegation.
No freedom.

If your business collapses without you, you didn’t build a business.

You built a cage.

Real business owners design themselves out of the day-to-day.

Otherwise, you’re not free—you’re just on payroll with a fancy title.

Whether you’re planning on selling your business or not, always build it to sell it because THAT is how you build for freedom.
