Hello all! It has been some time since we have posted on this page but a Bristol native reached out to spread some awareness.

I’m not sure if y’all know about the rock quarry landfill that is causing some issues but he has a podcast on Spotify to keep y’all updated and informed. ITS BIG!

We had a fellow classmate Randi Goodman who was trying to address this issue back in 2018.

Please have a listen because this is detrimental to water sources nearby!

We tell stories of man made unnatural disasters. A landfill in the Birthplace of Country Music is poisoning residents. We're digging into the story and it's not as clear as you might think.

Hello Students,
Earth Day was founded by Senator Nelson of Wisconsin in 1970 to appeal to college students. This holiday was intended for college students to become more politically active about the environmental concerns at the time. 20 million Americans celebrated the first Earth Day in 1970. It has since grown, and has been celebrated in more than 192 countries by over one billion civic-minded supporters. The movement of Earth Day also drove the creation of the EPA. People of all ages can march, plant trees, clean up their communities, and reduce waste in their own homes. Although Bristol, TN lacks in the awareness of climate action, we, as a Christian University, have an opportunity to step back and appreciate the care and detail God put into creating our universe. God is an amazing artist, and he has set creation before us to show us his glory and remind us of his love.

To celebrate Earth Day,
EPIK will be hosting an ultimate frisbee game on Monday, April 22nd (Earth Day) to enjoy God's creation and take a break from the stress of exams.
Everyone is invited! Please meet on the Oval at 1 pm and teams will be selected!
It will be a beautiful 75 degrees and sunny!

New EPIK stickers will be available at this event!

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” - George Shaw....but I do hope they can change their reading skills. Book drop, not waste drop!! This is one example of what students walk past everyday...let’s take notice of these things and act on it!! King University Young Evangelicals for Climate Action

Students,
Saturday March 30th at 8:30 pm: Earth Hour will occur. Millions around the world will shut their lights off for 1 hour in action to make a stand for Climate Action and our world’s environmental concerns. This is a special hour in which the entire world comes together to connect to Earth. Nature not only provides us with all the things we need to live - from the air we breathe to the water we drink, and from the shelter we need to the economy we rely on - but also makes our lives better. However, its growing loss puts this all under threat.

This Earth Hour, join millions around the world to turn off the lights and speak up about why nature matters.
