Just a little note, about last night:
Business is hard! Restaurants are, in a lot of ways, one of the hardest. It's a grind, food cost is up, sales vary day to day, taxes, utilities, maintenance cost all up, the worry of it all will have you questioning everything.
Then a night like last night happens. Though busy, it wasn't one of those overwhelming nights, but I was reminded on multiple occasions that we are doing something right and I just wanted to share a few of those moments with you:
A little girl who practically runs the place got up on stage and sang her heart out to a pop song in the cutest most METAL way I have ever heard. The crowd cheered, she beamed, it was a great moment!
A family travelling through stopped in for trivia and it came down to the very last question and they WON! The little boys were so proud. A few minutes after trivia the youngest came up and gave me his last quarter and said, "thank you for your service" and I tried to give it back and send him to the arcade, but he insisted. What a sweet moment. Later, he got up on stage and sang karaoke for the first time and rocked it. How cool is it that we got to be a part of that moment for him!?!
A few minutes later, a regular guest, unsolicited, just thanked me. Thanked me for having a place for people like him to just be and have fun and feel welcome. It was a sincere moment of appreciation that sometimes we overlook in life, but it meant so much.
All this to say, THANK YOU for spending your moments with us. We are so grateful for your support, and we can't wait to continue to grow and share so many more special moments with you. Come and see us!
