Today we publish the Barrington Times, Warren Times-Gazette, Bristol Phoenix, East Providence Post, Sakonnet Times

(covering Tiverton and Little Compton, R.I.), Portsmouth Timess and Westport Shorelines. We also publish the East Bay Classifieds, which is inserted into all the weekly newspapers. The company dates back to 1837, when the Bristol Phoenix was founded by William H. The present ownership took over in 1929, when Roswell S. became the fourth editor and publisher. Matt Hayes, the current owner and publisher, is the third generation in the family to run the company. The East Providence Planning Board unanimously voted on Monday night, June 8, to grant approval to The Wolf School to build a 16,200-square-foot addition onto their existing campus in Rumford.
