For your Father’s Day and First Day of Summer, expect partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 80s. Monday I’m tracking a chance for rain beginning around 4 PM and ending around 2 AM Tuesday. We could see up to half an inch of rain in select locations.

The time is now 4:24 AM. Happy Summer Solstice!

06/20/2026

The summer solstice will occur at 4:24 AM Sunday morning. That is when the sun is directly over the tropic of cancer. After this precise moment, the sun will begin its journey back to the southern hemisphere. Winter is Inevitable coming!

I’m over here posting about the nice beautiful weather and everybody is like when’s it going to rain. If I post about rain, they’re like why aren’t you enjoying the nice weather. You can’t win.

Now thinking about a quarter inch of rain starting Monday after 6 PM.

06/20/2026

Expect nice conditions for your last day of spring with sunshine and highs in the mid 80s. A similar forecast for your first day of summer. Rain chances move in Monday afternoon. About a 10th of an inch of rain is possible on Monday and Tuesday.

Sunday is the longest day of the year which is kind of funny because it feels like the sun was going down at 5 PM like a couple weeks ago.

Most of the rain is passing to our east. For the rest of your Juneteenth, expect generally cloudy skies with highs in the low 80s. Weekend looks great. Monday I’m concerned about some showers and thunderstorms. That’s probably our next best chance for rain. We definitely need the rain. Our governor is considering water restrictions.

06/18/2026

As expected, cloud cover kept us cooler than 90° and kept the rain away. All expected. Tomorrow morning I am expecting some rain from the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur. This should be out of here by the midday hours and the afternoon will be fine. The weekend looks great! Father’s Day looks fine.
