The man convicted of almost carrying out a deadly attack on Park Valley Church in Haymarket in 2023 has been sentenced.

A Virginia man was sentenced today in Alexandria for his attempt to carry out a mass shooting at a Haymarket, Virginia church, for carrying a gun during that attempt, and for transmitting threats over the internet.

Fairfax Police have confirmed it was Kyle Coleman's body their divers discovered in a retention pond near in Tysons. The investigation into his death continues. Coleman, 19, was a Gainesville resident, Battlefield High School graduate and Morehouse College student.

Fairfax County police late this afternoon recovered a body from a pond in Tysons, not far from where a 19-year-old Gainesville college student went missing Friday after a car crash.
