TRAVELING AG EXHIBIT AT LOCAL MUSEUM
Prayer Rock Hosts “On the Farm Front: Agriculture during WWII”

The Marshall County Prayer Rock Museum in Britton is now showcasing “On the Farm Front: Agriculture during WWII,” a traveling exhibit from the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum. The display highlights how American farmers, ranchers, women, and children supported the war effort through increased crop production, labor innovation, and creative resource use. Artifacts include wartime ration cards, flour sack clothing, and milkweed pods used for life jackets—plus the featured “Victory Dress” made from a single flour sack ration. The exhibit runs weekends from 1–4 p.m. through August 31 and will be open during Harvest Days.
