Our first post is about Broadview's multi-million budget deficit for 2020-2021.
Katrina Thompson announced in her Summer, 2020 that Broadview had a “balanced budget”.
A few weeks earlier, Katrina’s Board of Trustees approved a $933,479 budget deficit for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. The preliminary budget showed an even higher deficit of $972,677.
Katrina forgot to include additional bills coming due right now, including @ $1.2 million in bond debt. Nowhere in any public village financial document is this debt showed as paid off.
Katrina lied about the balanced budget. It's about as unbalanced as it can get.
