CONGRATULATIONS! to the Fighting Gobbler Regiment on their placement in the Blast in the Draft Competition! They are taking home 1st Overall, 1st in Percussion, 1st in Music, 1st in Visual, 1st in General Effect, and 3rd in Guard with a score of 225! Keep up the good work gobblers!

This morning, the GoldStars Tribute Wall arrived at Broadway High School at the welcome of students and staff. The wall honors the fallen while serving in the United States military from the beginning of the Gulf War through the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Once the wall was assembled, BHS students were given the opportunity to visit the wall. This is the first time it has been displayed in Virginia. The GoldStars Tribute Wall is open to the public 24/7 until Sunday afternoon.

Yesterday, on September 11th, a group of Current Affairs students from BHS participated in the Bridgeforth Stadium Stair Climb to remember and honor 9/11 first responders. Each student was given the name of a first responder who was there on 9/11 to remember as they climbed stairs for 40 minutes. Some students climbed 1000 stairs, about half the amount of stairs first responders climbed on their way to rescue those in need.

This morning the Goldstar Tribute Wall arrived at Broadway High School. GNN reporter Micah Melewski interviewed the organizers responsible for bringing it to BHS. The Goldstar Tribute Wall will be open to the public 24/7 to visit at BHS until Sunday afternoon.

BHS state softball championship gear is available for purchase for a limited time at https://bsnteamsports.com/shop/BHSSBSTCHM. A variety of short-sleeve, long-sleeve, and hoodies are available, 23 items in total. All proceeds go towards the purchase of rings for the team. Orders must be placed before July 16th. Go Gobblers!

Last night, the Gobblers came out strong against Staunton River and went on to win convincingly 8-1. They will play New Kent next in the State Semifinals on Friday at 1:30pm. The winner advances to the Finals on Saturday at 11:00am. All games will be held at Fluvanna County High School. Go Gobblers!

Tuesday night, the softball team takes on Staunton Riveat at home in the State Quarterfinals. The first pitch is at 6:00 pm.

Day 2 of the State Track Meet was exciting! Tristan Yoder was a State Champion in both the 1600 meter run and 3200 meter run where he set a new meet record for Class 3 with a time of 9:06.45!!

Uriah Rutan placed 2nd in the 400-meter run with a new school record of 48.94.

Jaiden Santos Nguyen placed 6th in the 3200-meter run. Uriah Rutan placed 6th in the 200-meter dash.

The boys team placed 3rd as a team!

Afterward, graduating seniors celebrated with their parents, coaches, and teammates in their own special Commencement.

At Day 1 of the State Track Meet the 4x800 of Asher Ryan, Tristan Yoder, Grayson Jacquez, and Gavin Diehl got 5th with a new school record of 8:06.94. And, Uriah Rutan moved on to the 200 finals with a new school record of 21.90.
