Wild 👀🦈
A great white shark was caught and quickly released from Nantucket’s south shore on Sunday after picking up a bait intended for a dusky, sand-tiger, or sandbar shark.

Angler Elliot Sudal of was fishing with Stone Fornes and Nathan Skerritt when the shark came into the surf. Sudal, who has spent more than a decade fishing and tagging sharks from the beach, was not targeting white sharks and acted quickly once he realized what was on the line.

The hook was removed and the shark was released back into the water in roughly 15 seconds. Sudal said the fish swam off strong, calling it a rare encounter and a reminder for shore-based shark anglers to use proper tackle and release sharks immediately.

Would you rather witness this from the beach or be the one on the rod?

Meteor seen from Provincetown ☄️

That loud boom heard across parts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New England was reportedly caused by a daytime meteor breaking apart in the atmosphere. Officials say it likely fragmented high above the ground, with no earthquake detected. Space really had New England shook today. 😳💥

Did you hear it where you were?

AP reported NASA and the American Meteor Society confirmed the meteor event and said it was about 3 feet wide before fragmenting high above ground.
