Temperatures should reach the lower to middle 80s this afternoon well away from the South Coast. Quieter weather is on the way for the weekend around here, but the Atlantic is anything but quiet right now. There are two active storms in the Atlantic, and a third one could form soon. Astronomical Summer ends on Monday, and the final weekend of summer will feature quiet but cooler weather. Drought conditions continue to worsen across the region.
