The last 4 days of meteorological summer are upon us, and for the most part they'll be good. For parts of eastern New England, this has been one of the warmest summers on record. El Nino has resulted in in a quiet start to hurricane season in the Atlantic, but things may be changing. Several areas of interest are being monitored in the Atlantic and the Pacific. Weekend Outlook: August 7-10, 2026

This is going to be one of the shortest and easiest to write forecasts we've ever done. A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of the region into Friday.
