Labor Day weekend has arrived - the unofficial end of summer, and at least one or two days will feel more like early fall. Temperatures are normally in the middle to upper 70s in early September. The last 4 days of meteorological summer are upon us, and for the most part they'll be good. For parts of eastern New England, this has been one of the warmest summers on record. Weekend Outlook: August 7-10, 2026

This is going to be one of the shortest and easiest to write forecasts we've ever done. A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of the region into Friday. That will result in very warm to hot and humid conditions with a daily chance for showers and thunderstorms....
