🇺🇸🐴 Fireworks & Horses: Plan Ahead for a Safe Fourth

The Fourth of July is festive fun for us — but for horses, it can be downright frightening. 🧨
Loud booms and flashing lights can trigger a horse’s strong flight response, so let’s prep early to keep everyone calm and safe.

🔹 Tips for a Stress-Free Fourth:

• Bring horses into a secure area — ideally a stall or smaller turnout with high, safe fencing.
• Muffle noise with fans, calming music, or white noise machines.
• Avoid fireworks near barns or pastures. Alert neighbors if needed.
• Stick to your horse’s routine as much as possible.
• Consider calming supplements if your vet recommends them.

🎆 With a little planning, you can help your horses stay calm while the skies light up.
