St. Michael Catholic Radio 94.9fm St. Michael Radio is the first Local Catholic Radio Station in Tulsa, OK! FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is St. Michael Catholic Radio? A: St.

Michael Radio is a lay owned and operated Catholic radio broadcasting ministry based out of Broken Arrow. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, St. Michael Catholic Radio broadcasts the truth and beauty of the Faith on 94.9 FM in Tulsa and can be heard online at stmichaelradio.com or on any smartphone or tablet by downloading the St. Michael Catholic Radio app. Q: Isn't St. Michael Catholic Radio simply

EWTN? A: While we do air EWTN programming, we are only an affiliate of EWTN. St. Michael Catholic Radio is not owned or operated by EWTN. We at St. Michael Catholic Radio are our own business with employees, bills, and a studio in Broken Arrow, OK. Q: What locally produced shows does St. Michael Catholic Radio air? A: Great question! Michael Catholic Radio produces the Catholic Man Show that airs every Thursday at 7pm. This show is great for all listeners as it showcases how to live as a strong Catholic man at home, at work, and in all aspects of faith and life. We are hoping to expand our local programming with help from you! Q: How is St. Michael Catholic Radio funded? A: As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, St. Michael Catholic Radio is 100% listener supported. We would not be here without you and we cannot continue our ministry without your continued support! We hold two fundraisers every year (the Tulsa 5K Rosary Run and the Theology at the Tower) in addition to offering underwriting opportunities to local businesses, churches, and schools. Please contact Joe McAuliff by phone at 515-480-2057 or email at [email protected] for more information or questions. Q: How much does it cost to run the St. Michael Catholic Radio station? A: Contrary to popular belief, it is not cheap to operate a non-profit radio station. Our monthly expenses average $8,000. This includes staff positions, broadcasting equipment, website maintenance, and community outreach. Q: How many people listen to St. A: Another excellent question! The answer is two-fold. First, we don't know the exact number of listeners. The reason is because it is a significant financial cost to obtain this information and we would rather use your generous contributions and support to further spread the Good News than obtain statistical analysis. Q: Is the station owned by the Diocese of Tulsa? Michael Catholic Radio is not owned by the Diocese of Tulsa. However, we work very closely with the Diocese. We are blessed to have the full support of Bishop Konderla and to have him and his staff as an extension of our broadcast family to further our mission. Q: What can I do to help continue the mission of St. A: There are so many ways to help! First and foremost, please pray for us everyday! Without spiritual strength, we would not be able to broadcast content that is true, beautiful, and good! In addition, we do need your financial contributions. Contrary to popular belief, it is not cheap to run a non-profit radio station. Your contributions help to fund equipment, bills, and staff payment. Truly, every dollar that we receive from you is EXTREMELY appreciated. We are also looking for volunteers! Please message us on our page or by email: [email protected] for a list of volunteer opportunities. Thank you for your support!

🎉 Big News from St. Michael Catholic Radio! 📻

Today, after Holy Mass, we officially turned on 90.9 FM, the first-ever Catholic radio station in McAlester, Oklahoma!

This is a historic moment for the entire Catholic community in the McAlester area. After much prayer, planning, support, and hard work, Catholic radio is now on the air—bringing the truth and beauty of the faith to southeast Oklahoma 24/7.

We are honored to share these words from Bishop David Konderla:

“2000 years ago Jesus commanded his disciples to go into all the world and tell the good news. We are so thankful to God that our new Catholic radio station will help us spread the gospel in the McAlester area. Look for the station, and help us in this mission.”

🙏 Please keep this mission in your prayers. Tune in to 90.9 FM, spread the word, and join us in proclaiming the Good News!
