High Wind Warnings are in effect for today and tonight across portions of western and north central Nebraska. The strongest wind gusts are expected to track east throughout the afternoon into the overnight hours. Northwest wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible!

Freezing drizzle possible for our area.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for north central Nebraska into central Nebraska and portions of west central Nebraska this evening through Saturday afternoon. Accumulating snowfall and northerly winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 40 mph may create areas of blowing snow and difficult travel. Further south, a light glaze of ice is possible before changing to light snow after midnight tonight.

We had a conversation with our highschooler last night. He thinks that it's odd that we called them, "Mrs. Johnson" or "Mr. Smith" AND we still do. Apparently, today first names only are acceptable in most cases. What do you think?

Heads up, Custer County! History on the move—next stop: Sandhills Journey National Scenic Byway Visitor Center on the east side of Broken Bow!📚

🚨Heads up, drivers!🚨

A BUILDING will be on the road with you on Tuesday, with a majority of the route being Highway 2 through Merna and Broken Bow!

Organizers estimate the move to begin late morning and encourage patient and cautious driving near the schoolhouse.

Did you leave something behind?

Mr. Steve Olsen of Broken Bow , Sherman County Nebraska Sheriff is attempting to get a hold of you about your abandoned pickup in Sherman County. It was located by the individuals that actually had permission to hunt this property. This remote property apparently was unfamiliar and the land owner would like it removed. The phone numbers we were able to locate were no longer in service. Please contact the Sherman County Sheriff's Office at 308-745-1511 with your plans for removal.
