An amazing discovery under the grandstands at the Custer County Fairgrounds.

15 slide carousels were found in this box. Not wanting to throw away what could be precious family history, fair officials are turning to social media to hopefully find some clues about who this belongs to.

And of course... I'm always happy to help!

Here's what we know: these types of carousels were very popular in the 70s and 80s. One slide carousel tray can hold between 80 and 140 slides(images.)

CLUES from the labels:
Names— David, Marla & Laners, Don,
Trips to:—New Orleans, David's overseas furlough, Yellowstone, Golden Gate, San Fran., Arizona.
Events— Community 4-H extension, parades, graduation, square dancing

Wow!!!

Crimes against our elderly and children deserve the maximun punishment allowed by law.

91-year-old Melvin Decker was brutally beaten and carjacked outside Westroads Mall in broad daylight, just before 11 a.m. on Monday, April 28th, after finishing his morning mall walk - something he does every single day.

If you have any information about this violent attack, please contact Omaha Police. Mr. Decker’s only transportation — a black Chevy Equinox with personalized Nebraska license plates “SKIPS” is still missing.
