Phoenix Episode 3 is here! After my first episode, I met Kim. Her cousin reached out to me and told me that we had to connect. Kim, too, is a home fire survivor. In many ways, her story is very much like mine - even down to the cause of the fire and the lack of a working smoke detector.

Kim is in the process of rebuilding her life now as well as her home. But she is transformed her struggles into Ember Entertainment, a publishing company that empowers people.

I am very excited to announce the launch of something that I have wanted to do for quite awhile... the Phoenix Podcast. Every two weeks, it will feature another inspirational story that promises to uplift you - stories where success was ignited by struggle.

Congratulations to Brookfield Little League on becoming the 2023 Little League Illinois Champions. It was my pleasure to watch one of the most exciting games of baseball I have ever seen (sorry, I'm a Cubs fan). Congrats to my niece, Cam, and the team on an awesome victory.

Holy Covenant MCC is home to the beloved rainbow stairs that were defaced this March. It is a conversation about love, about hate, about redemption and about the LGBTQIA+ community.
