πŸŽ„ Holiday Stress Is Real β€” Support Is Available πŸ’™ As the holidays approach, mental health providers across Connecticut are seeing increased demand for counseling services. Advocates note that stress, financial pressure, and family conflict can intensify this time of year β€” and many people seek help during and after the holidays.

That growing need is why Southbury Counseling, owned by Brendan Stack, has expanded with new offices in Brookfield and most recently Southington, now accepting new patients.

🧠 The office is led by Clinical Director Gabrielle Belenchia, specializing in trauma-informed care, including EMDR, for teens through adults.

πŸ’š On December 14, we honor the children and educators who were taken, the families who live with immeasurable loss, and a community forever changed by the tragedy at Sandy Hook.

This day carries deep weight β€” a time for remembrance, grief, love, and reflection. It belongs to the families whose lives were shattered, to the survivors who carry the memories, and to the educators, first responders, neighbors, and community members who continue to live with the impact of that day.

In the months that followed, the Sandy Hook community came together in extraordinary ways, seeking comfort, connection, and healing wherever it could be found.

The depth of grief endured by the families cannot be fully understood by those outside it. May we continue to lead with kindness, and protect the innocence and wellbeing of children everywhere.

Our deepest sympathy and love go out to every family who lost a loved one, to all who lived through that day, and to everyone forever changed by December 14. πŸ’š
