Today I picked up what I think the last puzzle piece for what I have planned for my upcoming overdub recordings later this month. I got an Electro-Harmonix simulator pedal from Collar City Guitars - Troy, NY in Troy town. I had one a few years ago but never had much use for it so I sold it when I moved off LI. Oh well.

to a sweaty summer 1989 Skels rehearsal sporting a red and sweet mullet at Hafco Electric in Bohemia. I was living in Ronkonkoma at the time so this was the shortest commute I ever had. By the following summer we were married and living out in my grandparents house in Mastic Beach. Oh, and I had destroyed the Melody Maker. 🤷‍♂️

The next little piece of noise I will be using to finish my overdubs later this month is a new which arrived today. I’ve used an Ebow quite often but this is the first one I’ve owned. I used one belonging to Finn for ages and when I moved I gave it back to him.

Got me a (nearly) new today for half what a new one goes for. Still has the protective plastic on the bottom and nameplate! 👍🏼 PS I know that as a “guitar dude” I’m supposed to think of like Hendrix or something like that when I think of a wah, but I always default to disco because I’m too cool for that.

On the bench (and in the garage) today is this 26 year old 4x12 (that’s vintage, right?) and its silly mono/stereo setup. Broken solder joints were the problem here. Personally I’ve removed these things from every cabinet I had that had one and rewired it for 16 ohms mono. But thats just me.
