4- Cailie’s Lullaby. Solo electric guitar, another Mt Ida recording. This one was written some time in the early 1990s for my baby Cailie. I’ve tried recording it several times before but never got anywhere.

3- BoiKatt 1. Live band, Chris and me playing live at Silo V2.0 in Brookhaven in 2021. I guess it’s sort of a precursor to this project as I gave up on waiting for lyrical inspiration and just wanted to record some guitar music.

2017 Tribute.

2- Messiah Complex. Live band, one of three tracks recorded live by Dan Maddalone at BirthdayLand in October 2025. Ryan, Peter and Brandon had so much enthusiasm for these recordings and they played their asses off. I couldn’t have been happier. The solo guitar intro is part of something I recorded back in 1995 that I rerecorded in my room and the live band part is based on those chords.

1- Lakeside. Solo guitar, written on a vacation more than 25 years ago. Sitting on a lake shore quietly playing while my wife and her sister-in-law were just catching up it sounded to me a bit like a musical conversation. One of several tracks recorded at Mt Ida in November 2025.

1967 Gibson Country & Western

Plucking and picking on my this evening, working on perfecting another little piece of guitaring that will find its way on a future release. This is from March 1972, just before they unveiled a redesigned CG. These are the last of the 1960s style CGs and are most easily differentiated from the later models by their painted-on F Holes as the redesigned model had actual F Holes. These early 72s had already had the string mute discontinued although they continued to use up the last of the pickguards that were notched for when the bridge pickup was slightly further from the bridge due to the mute. Now back to the plucking.

One the wall this week is the warm wood grain look of a 1970s rec room, but in the form of vintage guitars. The audio is from the lead off track from my new album “Witch Hats and Chickenheads” available on BandCamp for now and streaming everywhere else starting Friday!
