At its heart is the remarkable journey of a woman (Kolean Sanders) overcoming unimaginable adversity through the mentorship of a man of another race. Their bond not only helps her rebuild her life but also underscores the power of unity and understanding in breaking barriers of race, prejudice, and isolation.

We enjoyed having guests Tameria Leatrice and Jasmine Corley on our show! Tameria is the founder of “Mom Life”. We truly enjoyed chatting with Katie Smith Nations & Jillian Sicks Ricceri about the 8th Annual Downtown Jazzed Up happening this Saturday, 2/22/25!

Come downtown to participate in the jazzy line up! This year, they’ll have a 2nd Line Parade Class starting at 1pm at the Mississippi School of the Arts hosted by New Orleans own Michelle Gibson, Gibson will also lead the 2nd Line Parade starting at 2pm!

During Black History Month, we want to take time to honor some of our Co-Lin alumni who have gone on to do great things. This week’s feature is Kristopher Coleman (‘11), a Christian recording artist and entrepreneur.

Coleman studied music at Co-Lin and was member of the Blue Wave Show Band. He credits retired band director Shaw Furlow for helping prepare him for a career in music. Since leaving Co-Lin, he has performed in over 58 shows across major cities like Atlanta, Memphis, and New Orleans. He became the first hip-hop artist to perform at the Ole Brook Festival in 2022 and has graced the stage every year since.

Coleman is the proud owner of WEALL1 RECORDS, his own Christian Recording Label, and co-owner of Stori Studios, a media and marketing company he runs alongside his wife, Orionna Coleman. Together, they also host the "We Komplete Podcast" every Friday at 9 AM CST on G93 with SuperTalk Radio, marking a historic milestone as the first Black hosts ever at the Brookhaven station.

Coleman and his wife have three children together: Kao, 6, Harmony, 3, and Melody, 2.

We truly enjoyed having Jakoben Thomas, a local reality tv star from McComb, Mississippi join us today!

Thomas is starring in the new show, “Extracted” that premieres Monday, 2/10/25 on FOX and the following day on Hulu!

Extracted features 12 untrained competitors attempting to survive extremely grueling conditions, perilous terrain, and the threat of fearsome predators in the unforgiving Canadian wilderness.

Meanwhile, some miles away, their family members are locked down at a secluded headquarters watching them navigate their dangerous surroundings alone via a 24/7 live feed.

The fate of each untrained contestant in the wilderness lies in the hands of their family members back in HQ.

Each amateur survivalist’s family has the power to decide whether their loved one has what it takes to brave the elements and fight to be the last one standing, or whether the family will push the ominous “Extract” button and remove their loved one and their whole family from the competition.

Extracted begs the question: how far will their loved ones let them go for a chance for their family to win $250,000?

Tensions mount and strategic alliances are forged, as the opposing families negotiate and compete to send essential lifelines and resources to their competitors in the wild, to help them endure the harsh conditions they are faced with.
