You are not on this page by happenstance. You are here because you care about our Black community and want to see it develop into a bigger, better and more prideful community.
Facebook is a GREAT PLACE to explore some particulars of our culture but there are key elements missing. The structure, the ability to unify our Blacks, the helpful facts, the fairness and the blunt truths we need are what’s missing. That’s why you’re here. You know these things are required to help restore our culture. You’re here because you know that one person can’t do this alone. You’re here because you understand it’s going to take a village to overcome our current stagnation. You’re here to help. You’re here because you want to make a difference. You want our kids to grow up safe. You want equal wages and fairer treatment. You want to be rewarded for the work that you do. You want to see more people registered and voting and participating in the important City, State, and National elections. You want to see Blacks helping Blacks by communicating more and sticking together. If something isn’t done soon it will be irreversible if not addressed.
Don’t ask what your community can do for you, ask what you can do for your community. When you figure out what you can do, just do it. Get out there every day and make a change. Talk to our youth; help our elderly; run for a political office; support our current Black-owned businesses and last but not least support this newspaper. Hold up your right hand and promise me this; promise me you will be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem. If you promise me this, we must and will work together as one to become a force to be reckoned with. If you hadn't already, click this link and join now www.weeklynewsforus.com. This newspaper is bigger than me. This newspaper is us. And (us) is all I will care about until I die.
