My name is Ifeoluwa Nat, and I am a graduate student.
In December 2025, my family experienced a life-altering emergency when my sister suddenly collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. What followed was one of the most frightening and uncertain periods of our lives. She fought so hard, and we fought alongside her.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals and our constant prayers, my sister sadly passed away on February 23.
Nothing prepares you for the pain of losing someone you love so deeply. She was not just my sister — she was family, friend, support system, and light in our lives. Her loss has left us heartbroken and trying to navigate a reality we never imagined.
During her hospitalization and the critical weeks that followed, I had to step away from work to care for her and be present for my family. Family came first, and I would make that choice again — but it has created significant financial strain. The emotional weight of grief has been overwhelming, and the financial burden has added another layer of difficulty during this already devastating time.
We are now raising funds to help cover:
• Burial and funeral expenses here
• Support for me and my family, as I had to stop working to care for her
• Outstanding personal and educational expenses that accumulated during this period
This loss was sudden and unexpected, and we were not financially prepared for the costs that come with laying a loved one to rest.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, would mean more than words can express. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would also be a tremendous help.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and for standing with us during this incredibly painful season. We are leaning on faith, community, and love as we try to heal and rebuild.
