The Icarus Films team is heartbroken to share this message from Cari Marshall, producer of the wonderful documentary “Semicolon; The Adventures of Ostomy Girl.” Ms. Marshall is also the mother of the film’s brave, funny and inspiring subject, Dana, who candidly shares her experience with Crohn’s Disease. A new short video update has been added, and in Dana's honor, “Semicolon” is free to watch here this month with code DANA:
https://vimeo.com/ondemand/semicolon

--
Dear followers and supporters of Dana and her film, “Semicolon; The Adventures of Ostomy Girl”:

At the end of the film, Dana was at a crossroads—should she continue to live with a constantly diminishing quality of life or take a leap of faith on a complicated transplant surgery that could give her a chance at a normal life she had never truly known?

The film ended with these words: “To be continued…”

And so, as Dana’s mother, I felt it was time and it was important to share with all of you who have stuck with us for so many years how our journey unfolded.

After you have seen the original film, here is a link to a short follow-up video which we hope you will take the time to watch: https://vimeo.com/386366922

To say this has been a difficult and bumpy road is quite beyond what words can express. We will always hold our beloved Dana in the light that she deserves…

A true warrior possessing immense strength and courage above and beyond... Making a meaningful impact with her loving magnificent spirit... Her light shines and she lights the way for so many...

Thank you for your prayers, your caring, and all of your heartfelt support... We are so deeply grateful...

"Love cracks open our hearts... Grief is deep unrelenting love.”

With love,
Cari
