The worst people you know are throwing a birthday party. What could go wrong?

DEADLINE just dropped an exclusive article covering the launch of our new vertical comedy series, “Bad Brown Kids” (). Set over the course of a single birthday party, Bad Brown Kids centers on twin siblings Rishi (played by Vishaal Reddy) and Zara (played by Rani Jessica Jain), whose carefully curated lives begin to fracture.

Snarky Incubator cohort member Andrew Leung is up to some incredible things!
 Andrew (writer & concept artist behind Disney’s Mulan and Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) has created a concept piece from his scripted project, Ancient China of Mars, created in Unreal Engine 5.6 with a focus on non-photorealistic rendering.

Ancient China of Mars follows the Lee family, Earthling Chinese immigrants forced to flee a climate-ravaged planet and an unforgiving caste system. Hoping to build a better future on Mars, they instead find themselves trapped on a space station - stateless, suspended between worlds, and belonging to neither Earth nor Mars.

We’re thrilled to be developing this project with Andrew and excited to see this project come to fruition!

This Giving Tuesday, we want to address the "elephant in the room"
At Snarky Elephant Productions, storytelling isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. Since 2018, we’ve been on a mission to tell emotionally rich, inclusive stories that explore human experiences too often overlooked. From day one, our focus has been on authentic, mission-first storytelling that amplifies voices too often silenced.
Tackling the “elephant in the room” *coughs* the lack of diversity and inclusion in film, isn’t just our tagline; it’s our mandate.
We don’t just talk about change. We embody it.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re launching a campaign to raise $10,000 by the end of the year to bring our full team, creators, staff, and board, all together, for the 1st time. $10,000 will allow our team to come together for the first time in a planned summit...twice a year, to strategize the production of a virtual series and two feature films.
This is more than a meeting; it’s a creative gathering that will shape the future of Snarky Elephant’s projects and collaborations, something we’ve never done before.

We spent the past week in Rome at the Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo Market with cohort member and creator of ANCIENT CHINA OF MARS, Andrew Leung. Take a peek behind the curtain and see what it’s like to attend a festival packed with panels, interviews, and good people.

As recently featured in Variety, ANCIENT CHINA OF MARS by Andrew Leung (the concept artist behind Disney’s “Mulan” and Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”) follows “an Earthling Chinese family, the Lees, who are forced to escape to Mars. Leaving behind a climate change-stricken planet and a socioeconomic caste system that will never let them flourish, they blast off with hopes of pursuing their dreams on the Red Planet, only to find themselves stuck in purgatory on a space station that serves as a holding pen for stateless immigrants who are neither Earthling nor Martian.”

BEHIND THE SCENES of our newest project, BAD BROWN KIDS -- written by Snarky's Vishaal Reddy () and directed by Shravya Kag ().

Bad Brown Kinds (A Memoir About Indian-Americans Acting Terribly While Their Parents Think They're Perfect) is a half-hour, dark comedy series that turns the convention of the "model minority" on its head by showcasing the lives of a pair of South Asian siblings -- Zara, a successful author with a dark secret, and Rishi, a pianist whose drug addition threatens to ruin his budding career -- who are struggling to maintain the image they have been indoctrinated with by their parents and culture.

Here are Snarky, we are relentless in our pursuit of championing creators aiming to change the status quo in the industry. We can't wait to share this project with you. Stay tuned for updates soon!

The Chief Business Officer (CBO) is a key executive responsible for leading and managing the overall business strategy, grown, and financial performance of the organization. The role is currently equity-only until SEP achieves its pre-seed fundraising goal, slated to be in the upcoming year. The CBO works closely with the CEO and senior leadership to drive revenue, expand market reach, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong business acumen, strategic vision, and the ability to execute growth initiatives effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in business leadership roes, with a proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Experience in scaling businesses, managing P&L, and executing corporate strategies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a results-driven mindset.
Industry experience relevant to the company's operations is preferred.
