Most app landing pages lose visitors who were already interested.

Not because the product failed them, but because the page never spoke to them directly.

Most landing pages are designed for a specific type of visitor — someone who already wants the product and just needs permission to download. That visitor converts easily. The page looks like it's working.

But the majority of visitors aren't that person. They're curious, not convinced. And curious visitors need something the typical landing page never gives them — the feeling that this product understands exactly what they've been going through.
HowDo's landing page is built for the majority.

The problem section doesn't describe user frustration in general terms. It names it exactly — 16-minute videos for a 2-minute step. Generic tutorials that ignore your tools, your time, your situation. No way to track whether you're actually making progress. It's specific enough that unconvinced visitors stop and recognize themselves.

From that point, every section does one job. The solution reframes the product. Three steps make the process feel obvious. Use cases make it personal. A YouTube comparison makes switching feel logical. Social proof makes it feel safe.
By the final CTA — Stop Searching. Start doing — the doubt is gone.

Here's what separates apps that get better over time from apps that just get older.
A loop.

Most tutorial products are designed as a straight line. You search, you find, you follow, you finish. The product learns nothing from what just happened. The next person who searches the same thing gets the same result, regardless of whether the tutorial actually worked in practice.

HowDo closes that line into a loop deliberately at the end of every single task completion.

The guided flow gets users done. One action at a time, an interactive checklist, and no losing place. But the moment the last step is checked off, two things happen that most apps never ask for.

Users rate the tutorial quality. That rating feeds directly back into the AI, sharpening what gets recommended to the next person searching for the same task. Then users upload their result. A photo, a video, proof that the tutorial translated from screen to real life. That result lives in the community. Other users see it. Contributors see their work validated by actual outcomes.

Every completion. Every rating. Every uploaded result. The product gets sharper.
That's not engagement design. That's a system that earns trust by actually working better every time someone uses it.

Here's a moment everyone has experienced at least once.

New product. Complex box. Instructions that feel like they were written for someone else.

So you go searching. YouTube, blogs, forums — twenty minutes of digging for a two-minute answer.

HowDo's scan flow removes all of that.

Point the camera at any barcode or QR code and AI does the rest — identifying the product instantly and surfacing the most relevant step-by-step tutorials. Same focused, guided experience as always. Just a smarter, faster way in.

No searching. No confusion. Just scan and start.

Because getting help with something in your hands should never take longer than using it.

Here's something most people don't realize they hate until they stop doing it.

Searching for help.

Opening YouTube. Typing a query. Clicking the wrong video. Jumping to another. Reading a half-irrelevant blog post. Twenty minutes later, still not done.

HowDo removes all of that from the first screen.

Just ask—type or speak any task—and AI finds the most relevant step-by-step tutorials instantly. No browsing. No filtering. No wasted time.

Because getting help should take seconds — not twenty minutes of searching.

Here's where most apps quietly lose users before they even start.

The onboarding.

Too many features explained at once. Too much text. No clear reason to keep going.

For HowDo, we stripped it back to three screens and three promises. AI guidance that empowers your day. A community where your knowledge helps others. A scanner that gives instant help with zero confusion.

Each screen focused. Each message clear. Each step building confidence toward that first tap of Get Started.

Because users who feel confident in onboarding — stay. Users who feel confused — leave.

Here's what most founders get wrong about branding.
They think it's about looking good.
It isn't. Branding is about being recognized — and being trusted because of that recognition.

A product with inconsistent branding doesn't just look unprofessional. It creates friction before the user even starts. Something feels slightly off. The logo doesn't quite fit the screen. The colors shift between touchpoints. The typography doesn't match the tone of the product. None of it is catastrophic alone — but together it adds up to a single unconscious conclusion: someone wasn't paying attention here.
HowDo's brand identity is designed to eliminate that conclusion entirely.
Every element — logo, color, type, spacing — is built around one principle. The brand should feel as deliberate as the product. Because HowDo promises to remove complexity from everyday tasks. A brand that feels inconsistent or unfinished would contradict that promise before a single tutorial loads.
Branding isn't decoration. It's the first interaction users have with the product — and it happens before they ever open the app.

Here's the question most app founders get wrong when they think about content.

"How do we keep the library fresh?"
They hire more creators. They commission more tutorials. They build editorial teams. And the moment budget tightens — the library freezes.
HowDo solves this at the structural level, not the operational one.
The explore feed is where every verified creator in the HowDo community becomes part of the platform's foundation. Trending content surfaces what users need in real time. Top content builds trust through proven usefulness. New content gives contributors immediate visibility — so the incentive to upload never disappears.
The result is a library that doesn't need a team to grow. It grows every time someone who knows something decides to share it.

That's not a community feature. That's a platform that becomes more valuable every single day — without anyone at HowDo having to make it so.

Most app profile pages answer one question.

What have you done here?

HowDo's profile answers a harder one — who have you become?

On one side, every task completed and guide saved builds a personal library. Not just a history. A reflection of real capability — something users can look at and think "I know how to do that now."

On the other side, every tutorial uploaded and approved by the community turns that same user into someone others depend on. Their knowledge has an audience. Their experience has a purpose beyond themselves.

It's a small design decision with a significant behavioral outcome — users who feel like contributors don't churn. They recruit.

Because people don't leave communities they helped build.

Most app landing pages have a design problem nobody talks about.

They're written for people who already understand the product.

So visitors who don't—and that's most of them—read the whole page and still feel nothing. Not confused. Just unmoved. And unmoved people don't download.

HowDo's landing page is built for people who don't yet know they need it.

The problem section doesn't describe a frustration in general terms. It names it exactly — 16-minute videos for a 2-minute step. Generic tutorials that ignore your tools, your time, and your situation. No way to track whether you're actually making progress.

Specific enough that users stop and think — that's happened to me.

From there, every section does one job. The solution reframes the product. Three steps make it feel obvious. Real use cases make it personal. And a direct YouTube comparison makes switching feel logical, not risky.

By the last scroll, users aren't just informed. They're ready.
