As one commenter on Hannah Georgas’ social media put it: “How do you keep joining my favorite bands?”

Her feature “Only the Good I Keep” appears on the new Broken Social Scene album Remember the Humans — out last month and their first LP in 9 years.

She’s also a touring member of the group, and their All The Feelings Tour starts TODAY in Austin, with Metric and Stars, running through October across the US, UK, Europe, and Canada. (See comments for details.)

Also, don’t forget to give a fresh spin to her Aaron Dessner-produced Brassland release — 2020’s pandemic-era ALL THAT EMOTION. Also in the catalog are her pair of follow-up EPs that share the same title (one acoustic, one remixes + versions) and “Right Love” — a banger of a loosie single from the same sessions with Aaron.

p.s. Bonus pic of her on tour with Matt Berninger this past March.

Congrats to friends Ellen Reid and Missy Mazzoli on 10 years of their mentorship organization, Luna Composition Lab. You can read more about their work in yesterday’s feature in the New York Times. (Link in comments.)

We worked with Ellen on our 2022–23 releases by isomonstrosity, a pandemic symphony in rap and avant-pop. It was assembled by Ellen, Johan Lenox, and Yuga Cohler from the work of a dozen different composers, then recorded by International Contemporary Ensemble. Finally all of the music was chopped up and restructured, layered and collaged into a final album with features from an all-star cast of voices from contemporary rap and modern avant-pop

In 2019, Ellen won the Pulitzer Prize for Music for her opera p r i s m —— but her continued dedication to building musical community inspires us more than any awards.

Maybe you’ve heard about Buke and Gase's upcoming “Lull”—or their New York farewell shows (two of three are now SOLD OUT).

A new portrait of Arone Dyer just dropped. As always, photographer Lucy Bohnsack’s images are fantastic—they really tell a story.

We don’t expect the band to play live after this, but this isn’t the end of new music from the duo.

Details on the April shows + a link to Arone’s statements in the comments.

Lookin’ sharp — a study in contrasts.

Bryce Dessner on the Academy Awards red carpet last night with Susie & Nick Cave, and mina tindle — and Matt Berninger backstage before his gig in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

As the great poet Walt Whitman once put it: “I contain multitudes.” (A line so good Bob Dylan later swiped it for a song title.) Which is why we love The National — now and forever:❤️‍🔥

Buke and Gase have planned a few shows, intended as a farewell to their home, New York State.
• Thursday April 16: NYC @ public records, 233 Butler St, Brooklyn, NY

• Saturday April 25: upstate NY @ The Half Moon, 48 S Front St, Hudson, NY

You may have seen the news last week on Pitchfork, Stereogum, or BrooklynVegan — some of which used the words “break up” in their headlines. They prefer to call it a “lull,” and hope you’ll read band member Arone's full statement.

We're linking to the blog posts in the comments — and you can judge for yourself what this sounds like...

We hope to see some of you in April.
