The forest had many secrets. And not all of them could be seen. ππ²
Some secrets β were hidden in the air. Invisible. Magical.
You just had to know how to smell them.
A mother bear stood in a patch of wildflowers β purple and yellow and soft. π»ππ
Her tiny cub stood beside her.
She lifted her nose to the sky. She closed her eyes. ππ¬οΈ
"Smell, my baby. Close your eyes and smell. The forest is telling you its secrets."
The cub lifted his small nose. He closed his eyes.
He breathed in β deeply. πΈ
His eyes flew open. "Mama... I can smell things I have never smelled before!"
"Close your eyes again, my baby. Do not rush. Let the smells come to you."
He closed his eyes again. He breathed in β slowly.
"I smell... flowers. Sweet and soft." π·
"Yes. Those are the wildflowers. They bloom in spring."
"I smell... earth. Rich and dark." π
"Yes. The soil that grows everything. The home of the worms and roots."
"I smell... moss. Fresh and green." πΏ
"Yes. The soft carpet of the forest floor."
"And Mama... I smell you." π€
Her heart melted.
"What do I smell like, my baby?"
He opened his eyes and looked at her β his small face full of love.
"You smell like home, Mama. Like safety. Like love."
She touched her nose to his β and breathed him in too. ππ½π
"And you, my baby β smell like my whole world."
They stood together β mother and cub β breathing in the forest, breathing in each other.
The flowers shared their sweetness. The earth shared its richness. The moss shared its freshness.
And the cub learned β that the world has a smell, and every smell tells a story.
That is not just smelling. That is a mother teaching her child β to know the world with all his senses.
π» She taught him to smell β so he would always find his way home.
β What does home smell like to you?
ππΌ Comment "SCENT" if this reminded you of a smell you love ππΈ
