We here at kilScene are saddened to learn of the passing of former lead singer of the Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, Scott Weiland. May Scott find the peace in death that he couldn't find in life. God's choir section just got a little bit more awesome.

Nowadays, there's a new Stone Temple Pilots; one not featuring Scott Weiland on vocals, but Chester Bennington. However, back on March 26, 1996, Scott was still quite instrumental in the band. Yes ...

Hello my fellow kilSters!

I don't know how it could've possibly happened, but I missed an important anniversary four days ago. One of my favorite bands to come out of that '90's alternative ether, Local H, celebrated 20 years since the release of their debut album, "Ham Fi**ed" on January 24th!

The band left their all and then some on their first offering and it more than shows. This is probably their most grunge sounding album, following the trend started by the then popular "Seattle Sound" machine, but that in no way diminishes how f**king great" Ham Fi**ed" was/is. Even after 20 years, and countless listens, the album still maintains that raw edge that it had when I first heard it back in 1995. Delve inside this here article and discover what I mean for yourselves!
Please SHARE this and every post from kilScene, com!

Scott Lucas bares his everything on this album. Well, well, well, shame on me. There was a very important anniversary that took place four days ago, and I completely missed it. On January 24th, 199...

Like a breath of fresh air, kilScene is proud to re-introduce you to the sweet words of Mr. Hunter MacLeod as he comes alive kicking with the sounds found across the Pond by your new favorite band, The Monday Project! Following the trend of the two-man band that seems to have taken the world by the throat, The Monday Project pack quite the punch to create sonically invading rock! Get to know them for yourselves!!

Hello my fellow kilSters! How long has it been? It’s been for-f**king-ever, that’s how long. This long ass hiatus was forced as life got in the way of my doing what I love. Music has always been my passion and kilScene.com afforded me the opportunity to spread my love to the masses and then after August 28nd, 2014, everything f**king stalled. Life got in the way ladies and gents of kilScenedom, but as of today, January the 23rd, 2015, I’m happy to say that we are back!! Not only are we back, we are back with a f**king shotgun blast to the face BANG!

Back on August 4th of last year, kilScene had the great fortune to be granted a face to face interview with one of the pioneers of the SoCal punk scene, Mr. Jay Bentley of BAD RELIGION!! Anyone that knows me knows that it was Bad Religion that turned me on to the genre that has dominated my life for over 20 years and it really is all thanks to them that my love for the genre has flourished as it has, but no matter what new punk rock crunchiness comes my way, Bad Religion will always reign supreme in my book. It’s a long time since that balmy August day standing in front of New York’s famed Terminal 5 with one of my punk rock heroes, but as they say, better late than never. On with the show!

...a tour that featured some of punk rock's heavy hitters... Guess who's back...back again...kilScene's back...tell your friends. That's right my fellow kilSters! kilScene is back! I've missed you ...
