‘Comunas: edificando otro poder’
Filmed in 2019, this short documentary provides interviews with Venezuelans involved in popular movements. By screening this work, we invite people in the US to engage with the political insight of people living in Venezuela, and to practice rejecting narratives of Venezuelans’ criminality and ungovernability.

Dir. Marco Salustro
2019, 31 minutes
Spanish with English subtitles (translated by slic)

‘¡Pa’lante Siempre Pa’lante!’
From the streets of Chicago to the barrios of New York City, the Young Lords emerged to demand decent living conditions and raised a militant voice for the empowerment of the Puerto Rican people in the United States. With on-camera interviews, archival footage, photographs, and music - ¡Pa’lante Siempre Pa’lante! tells the history of the organization from its emergence, activities and philosophy, to its torturous end and the inspiring legacy which lives on to this day.

LAST FRIDAY’S SURPRISE DROP! ’s ‘WhatsReallyGood.’ mixtape is out now for on digital (for $Pay-What-You-Can dollars) and special CD (preorder):

Recorded over the course of the last year, the project is “a nod to the era which inspires (her) the most, as well as an interrogation of the times we find ourselves in. Rap’s translation of the Inner City Blues is alive and well here, and so are the highlighting of rap’s material contradictions.”

This is the first release of her imprint, released via .vision. Find it on Bandcamp, Nina Protocol & Soundcloud; we skipped the DSPs for this one!

Today marks the first release of the 2025 PTP calendar year - ‘Aight So Boom’ - the new album by LA-raised, NYC-based AMILES (.bae).
out now on our bandcamp especially (link where u find em)

“More than just residing at the intersection of hip hop and punk, AMILES’ latest work keys in on the lawless essence of the two cultural forms. Confrontation is at the helm, one-part interrogation of self, the other a tall bird to the imperial actors of any nation state.

Sonically, ‘Aight So Boom’ is 808-led with a mix of downcast melodies akin to DJ U-Neek’s production for early era Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, contrasted by saccharine loops of low rider-tested oldies – both sides signaling AMILES’ Los Angeles forged sensibilities. But even with the sunniest of soulful moments, this work never shakes its air of insurgency.

This is rap fueled by punk’s spirit of uproar and stripped-down honesty, a hybrid of the two forms that is subversive, not overstated, more uniquely so than most things I’ve previously experienced bearing the same categorization. ‘Aight So Boom’ isn’t some lo-fidelity 4chan lurker nihilism costumed in a black leather jacket, spikes, and studded belts, nor is it rap-core (or nu-metal), even in the verse-for-verse collaboration with (of New Jersey hardcore punk duo ) on “Headhunters,” or the all-out circle pit stomp of “This World Is A Nightmare” with NYHC outfit . AMILES writes from a place of love: love for their people, love for people wrapped in the struggle, and a growing love for themself.”
