Some birthdays deserve cake. This one deserves perspective.
Happy Birthday to me. ♌
This past year wasn’t the easiest one I’ve ever lived through. It stretched me personally, professionally, mentally, and spiritually. There were moments I questioned the timing, but I never questioned God. Every morning He gave me another opportunity to wake up, put one foot in front of the other, and take another swing.
If you know me, you know I’m a dreamer. My imagination has always been miles ahead of my reality. It’s a blessing… and sometimes it’s a burden.
None of this would’ve been possible without my wife. She believed in the vision when all she could see was the work. Her patience, grace, and love carried me through moments when I wasn’t easy to carry. Babe… thank you. I love you more than words can explain.
Earlier this year, I shared one of the hardest truths I’ve ever spoken publicly. There was a moment when I thought about ending everything. Not the business. Not the dream. My life.
That wasn’t content. It wasn’t for sympathy. It was real.
The response reminded me that I wasn’t fighting by myself. Every phone call, every text, every prayer, every check-in… I’ll carry that with me for the rest of my life.
To my tribe, the people who really know me… thank you. Whether we talk every day or once every few months, your place in my life hasn’t changed. I don’t take any of you for granted.
For those of you who don’t really know me…
Don’t confuse the quiet with quitting. Don’t confuse the setbacks with the story. And whatever you do… don’t play with me.
The plan never changed.
Your man’s is still outside.
I’m still dreaming. Still creating. Still building. Still believing.
I’m exhausted… but I’m nowhere near finished.
Here’s to another trip around the sun, another chance to create, another chance to serve, and another chance to prove that faith will always outlast fear.
If you’ve been part of this journey, drop a 🥃 in the comments. I’d love to know how we met or how long we’ve been connected.
