We are deeply honored to share that ALL THE EMPTY ROOMS has been selected for TIFF 2025. Building on the work of veteran CBS News reporter Steve Hartman and photographer Lou Bopp, this film has been a journey through grief, reflection, and the quiet truths that absence reveals.

Our deepest thanks to Thom Powers, Sonja Baksa, Jason Anderson, Mariam Zaidi for believing in this story, and to our extraordinary collaborators who carried it with such care and dedication.

To the families and communities in Uvalde, Parkland, Sandy Hook, Santa Clarita, and Nashville who opened their hearts to us – you have our enduring gratitude. This film exists because of your courage.

We’re excited to share more with you all soon…in the meantime, see you in Toronto. 🧡

ZAIN’S SUMMER: FROM REFUGEE TO AMERICAN BOY, 2016
Zain’s Summer depicts the sunny side of the refugee experience. Zain and his siblings and mother fled Pakistan 11 months before the period the film covers, a six-week summer language program to prepare young, new immigrants for the start of school. The possibility of a new life in America, relatively free from fear of violence and persecution, represents the very best of America in director Joshua Seftel’s telling. Zain’s openness to what the U.S. offers is old-fashioned and inspiring.
