The devil beckons. We’re pleased to invite you into Ora Cogan ’s realm of Hard Hearted Woman, out March 13th 2026. Despite its title, Hard Hearted Woman isn’t about shutting down, rather about hardness as resilience. It’s the shell we grow so our most human, breakable selves can survive. Hard Hearted Woman is a work of devotion to mystery, to community, to the strange power of making art in a fractured world. “It’s the most important part, the magic,” Cogan says. “What I write about isn’t always confessional, sometimes it is just an attempt at understanding. Working on music right now feels necessary for a healthy nervous system. I hope that it works that way for the people listening.”

We’re so excited to share the news of ’s forthcoming album “Marathon”. Their third studio album and sophomore Sacred Bones release, Marathon is an exploration of experimental indie folk with ethereal ambient textures and poetic lyricism. Focused on songwriting over production, it weaves delicate acoustic passages with gritty, rhythmic textures and field-recorded sounds, creating a restless, propulsive energy. Where Spike Field felt like one long breath, Marathon is a dynamic exploration of endurance, of pushing forward, resisting, observing and surviving. “For this record I decided to spend less time on production and recording and more time on songwriting,” Maria BC explains. “The result, I think, is more thematically consistent, lyrically speaking, and more concise… I set out to make something more dynamic and varied.”

Today, we share three new tracks from the forthcoming reissues from ’s 1980 debut ‘S/T’ solo album, follow up ‘Collision Drive’ and ‘Alan Vega Deluxe Edition’. Remastered from the original tapes, and available on streaming services for the first time ever, preserving the raw intensity of Vega’s original recordings while making them newly accessible to listeners worldwide. The remastered versions of Vega’s twangy, guitar-driven “Kung Foo Cowboy” and his aching punk rockabilly “Magdalena 83”, as well as a previously unheard demo of “Kung Foo Cowboy”, which will be available as part of the ‘Alan Vega Deluxe Edition’ are all out today streaming everywhere now!

With new album artwork design and art direction by and Michael Handis, Each of these reissues is available on a Sacred Bones Exclusive vinyl variant- grab Alan Vega on Silver & Magenta Galaxy vinyl, Alan Vega Deluxe Edition on Magenta w/ Black Splatter vinyl, and Collision Drive on Silver & Red Collision vinyl, each limited to 350 copies. Alan Vega Deluxe Edition is a limited deluxe double LP, pairing the newly remastered original solo debut album originally released in 1980, and available as a standalone release, with a second disc of previously unheard Early Demos and unseen images discovered by The Vega Vault Project leaders Jared Artaud and Liz Lamere . It offers a rare glimpse into the raw creative process behind this cult classic, along with new album artwork exclusive to this pressing. Collision Drive is Alan Vega’s second solo studio album, originally released in 1981, expanding his palette with a grittier, more layered, and unfiltered energy.

present “Cursive,” the latest single from their new album, URGH, out February 6th via Sacred Bones. Following “Magazine,” today’s “Cursive” is a bristling techno track that recoils and unfurls, garnering drama from the juxtaposition of quiet moments and explosive commotion. The song’s accompanying video was directed by Watch on YouTube at the link in bio now!

Talking about the track, synth player Simon said “‘Cursive’ is probably our most collaborative track to-date. Whilst Scott and Valentine often offer the initial impetus behind most of our songs, ‘Cursive’ was built up from a number of Alex’s rhythmic sketches and my bass sequence. Valentine added her vocals later and Scott worked to sculpt these elements together. It was exciting having everyone bring their own ideas to the table from the off, throwing them together and seeing what could come out of it — a bit of a step into the unknown for us as a band.”
