We are honored to work hand in hand with The Vega Vault Project to bring to you the remastered reissue of ’s debut self-titled album! Vega’s intention with his first solo album was to dig deeper into the roots of his own sonic identity outside of Su***de, fueled by rockabilly, early rock n roll, and his enduring love for Elvis Presley. Written, recorded and produced by Vega himself, this solo debut is a declaration of artistic independence and freedom from one of New York’s most influential and uncompromising artists.

Tracks like the classic anthem “Jukebox Babe” with its jiving rhythm and minimalist swagger, captured that approach completely and went on to become a hit in France. “Kung Foo Cowboy” takes on a southern twist, strongly leaning into the blues, while the golden timeless pop shine of “Ice Drummer” rings in melodic yet plaintive vocals, marching drums and a tasteful harmonica solo. “Bye Bye Bayou” is a haunted slice of mutant rockabilly that fuses 50s rock n roll, with Vega’s eccentric performance style and was later reimagined in the 2009 cover by , introducing Vega’s solo work to a new generation. Similarly, ’s 1993 cover of “Ice Drummer” paid homage to Vega’s outsider spirit.

Alan Vega is available on our Sacred Bones exclusive Silver & Magenta Galaxy vinyl, as well as a limited Magenta vinyl pressing, CD and 8 track. Featuring all new album artwork design and art direction by and as well as previously unseen images discovered by The Vega Vault Project leaders Jared Artaud and . Grab your copies while they last!

Out today! The soundtrack by Jim Jarmusch and Anika for Jarmusch’s latest cinematic offering, Father Mother Sister Brother is out today in all of its glory! Grab our Sacred Bones Exclusive “Bioluminescence” vinyl while it lasts, limited to 400 copies.

Winner of the Golden Lion Best Film prize at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, Father Mother Sister Brother is the eagerly-awaited new film from Jim Jarmusch, featuring the collaborative soundtrack by Anika and Jim Jarmusch. The soundtrack includes a cover of Jackson Browne’s “These Days.” Inspired by Nico’s iconic version, the fully arranged track prepared by Anika and featuring the Kaleidoskop ensemble string quartet was recorded in Berlin with Jim present, and appears as a bonus track on the album as “These Days (Berlin Version)”. Jim returned to New York and then mixed down a more spare and ethereal version of “These Days,” adding several electric guitar tracks, which is the version that appears in the film. Also featured is a cover of Dusty Springfield’s “Spooky.” The stripped-back version featuring just vocals, upright bass, finger snaps, and a distorted organ riff was chosen to open the film’s credits.

Beyond these covers, much of the film’s score was born out of improvisation. Jim and Anika spent hours improvising together, leading to a second round of recordings in Berlin, where Anika played Wurlitzer and electric guitar and Jim contributed affected electric guitars. Upon returning to New York, Jim shaped these recordings into the short, evocative instrumental pieces that became the film’s score. The very final touches were completed during a residency Jim and Anika spent together in Paris via the Pompidou Center.

The movie lands in US theaters December 24. Coming soon to the UK, Latin America, Turkey, Canada, Benelux, Ireland, India & more via Mubi. Make sure to watch the official trailer to get a first glimpse into the film!
