He mastered solids and metallics like no one else and many of our FAVE award winning celebs were Armani darlings : Jodie Foster, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, Viola Davis, Charlize Theron et al. The legend passed at home in Milan at the age of 91

THEATER: ART: Come see WNNING IS WINNING. Now through July 13th. In this kaleidoscopic dance-theater piece by OBIE-winning theater company Hoi Polloi (Celine Song’s Family, Three Pianos), over 20 performers depict a community reeling in the aftermath of the recent U.S. election. Blending humor and darkness, the ensemble shares text, music and movement that reflect a cacophony of anxieties, anger, and strategies of those on the political left. Winning is Winning marks a return for Hoi Polloi to devising theater pieces with a large ensemble of performers, similar to early shows such as The less we talk and All Hands.

NY: GALA: El Museo del Barrio will host its annual Gala on Wednesday, June 11 at The Pool, located in the iconic Seagram Building in New York City. This year’s event will honor late artist and arts patron Tony Bechara, whose visionary leadership and extraordinary contributions helped shape El Museo into the national and international cultural institution it is today.

The annual Gala is El Museo’s signature fundraising event. This year’s Gala will bring together artists, philanthropists, and community members to celebrate Tony Bechara’s extraordinary life and legacy. Proceeds support El Museo del Barrio’s exhibitions, educational programs, and the preservation of its permanent collection.
The evening will include a special musical performance by renowned Puerto Rican opera singer Larisa Martínez, as well as an auction featuring exclusive artworks, with proceeds supporting El Museo’s mission and programs.

El Museo’s Gala Chairs are: Estrellita and Daniel Brodsky, Victoria Espinosa, Agnes Gund, Karla Harwich, Karla Martinez de Salas, María Eugenia Maury, and Yolanda Santos.

Believe it or not the food is just as good as it was then and equally as affordable-this place is UNREAL. Go for the pasta, cocktails or the Happy always house wines! #

Film Noir will never be the same. Remembering and recognizing the works of the legendary filmaker David Lynch. More of a true “artist” than the average Hollywood Director his works reflected similar themes— a seamless pattern of high art w/ nuances of nearly unsolvable crimes. Big scene hallmarks include Blue Velvet , Lost Highway & Mulholland Drive. RIP Mr. David Keith Lynch.
