We’ve spent the past several days producing side-by-side videos to share featuring some new material. And by way of magical technology we’ll also be there live for discussion, taking your questions, pondering the nature of existence, etc etc. Find the steam on either of our FB Pages. See you soon!

Thinking of my good friends at Retrofret Vintage Guitars, and wishing them well. Here's a Twangbox production from some years back that holds up! It's Dom and Critter at a celebration of the Richard Johnston book on Martin and the guitar show at the Met.
Critter and Dom were gracious enough to help us celebrate 30 years in Brooklyn, NY, selling vintage acoustic and electric instruments around the world. http:...
This looks like a great deal... free!!!

Very proud of this story that I (Bradley Klein) wrote for Mandolin Cafe 3 years ago. Some great playing included by Michael Daves and Mike Compton. And of course, DeFord Bailey.
A wonderfully researched article by Bradley Klein published three years ago today and still a must read: A Brief History of Evening Prayer Blues https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/content/339-A-Brief-History-of-Evening-Prayer-Blues
Some great NYC musicians playing for a great cause!
Thrilled to participate in this evening of music to benefit tornado relief work in Nashville and surrounding areas. All proceeds go to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, plus you’ll hear the first Chris Thile & Michael Daves notes in a little while.

Wonderful CD from one of the greats!
Statman is one of those musicians who manages to combine savvy ad skill in equal measure. With Monroe Bus, his storied legacy is absolutely assured.
Check it out! Michael’s the best!
I’m happy to share with you five free lessons I've recorded for the Bluegrass Vocals course at ArtistWorks.
You’ll get a little taste of what Video Exchanges are all about too.

Can't say enough good things about these two and their new self-titled album which you can now stream or buy, digital or analog. And don't miss a chance to see them live.
Live From Here has begun to post cuts of our appearance on the show. Here's Vilray's own "Do Friends Fall in Love" off our new self-titled album. Enjoy!
One of my favorite artist-country musicians, Terry Allen has a new music page. And this nice New Yorker cartoon from 30 years ago. @terryallenartmusic
We're moving all official Terry Allen activity to this page, so if you'd like to stay up to date with announcements and other news, this is now the place for liking, following, commenting, and complaining.
Here's an old self-portrait from The New Yorker, 1989.
A story that I (Bradley Klein) was sad to write. Stan was a true NYC character who created a business that is much missed to this day. Probably the reason I first visited Staten Island, and it remained a treat to the very last.
When the anniversary of this article rolls around each year it reminds us how many miss that pilgrimage to Staten Island and Mandolin Brothers. RIP Stan Jay - https://www.mandolincafe.com/news/publish/mandolins_001669.shtml Bradley Klein
10:00 tonight at Rockwood! Statman and Daves!

From the debut of 'Ask Sonny Anything...'
Q: "What is the most memorable thing Bill Monroe ever said to you?
A: “I loaned you that hat, now you go find it.” Paintsville, Kentucky. I left the hat he loaned me in a restaurant. Luckily I found it the next day – July 1952. I loved that old man, and he knew it."
Ask Sonny Anything will be a recurring feature where our readers pose questions to the great Sonny Osborne, one half of the iconic Osborne Brothers.
