Congratulations! "The Night Alone", our latest short directed by Yoko Higuchi, is now an official selection of this year's NYC Halloween Film Festival. This is the film's fourth festival and third in the city. As a group of New York filmmakers, we're honored to have our short, which was created as a deranged celebration of our great city (specifically the MTA subway system) and the horror pictures we love, screened at a local horror festival. Thank you to the folks at NYC Halloween Film Festival for recognizing our film and to everyone for all of your love and support. This was just what the crew needed and we can't wait to screen our film at the festival later this year in October.

Happy Ultraman Day!

Today marks the 60th anniversary of Ultraman, who made his debut in Japan on July 10th, 1966, a week before the series aired, in a black-and-white TV special titled "Ultraman Eve: The Birth of Ultraman". To celebrate this occasion, we wanted to share with you our tribute to the now iconic hero that we made back in 2023. "Everydayman: A Fantasy Tokusatsu Parody" is Yoko Higuchi's love letter to Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and the wider tokusatsu genre. Shot in Japan over the course of two days and with lots of reverence and respect for tokusatsu medium. Here we see our protagonist, played by Nao Yamakasi, turning into the titular hero he always imagined himself to be. Here's to 60 years of Ultraman!

Celebrating 250 years of the American lie.

On this Fourth of July, America's 250th birthday, we present to you this new trailer for Yoko Higuchi's "The Death of Liberty", a new anti-authoritarian short film from Resistance Pictures. Starring Nadeem Ali and Michael Evans, it tells the story of an innocent man who's arrested in a near-future fascist America, where he has to decide whether to stick to the truth or to give false testimony in exchange for his freedom. A dark reflection of the current state of our nation. This is a piece that paints a portrait of what this country may become if we do not stand up for our core values: freedom, liberty, and justice. This is now the film's third festival and second here in the city. Thank you to the Lift-Off Global Network for recognizing our work and to all of you for your love and support. As a group of New York filmmakers, we're proud to be a part of another local festival and to be representing the city with a story dedicated to one of its most important parts: the MTA. We're all so excited about the news and to see our subway horror project will make an appearance next.
