DIG BMX

DIG BMX http://digbmx.com
Fueling BMX Imagination since 1993. DIG is the Premier Online Source for BMX Videos, Photography, Interviews, and more.

The troubled city of Belfast Northern Ireland may not seem the most logical place to have started an international BMX magazine in 1993 but then DIG Magazine has never been one to do things by the book. Created by Will Smyth as a reaction to the uninspiring european BMX media and the California-centric US titles available at the time, DIG has since become a truly influential BMX magazine respect

ed in every corner of the BMX world. Continually leading the way with its creativity, design, photography and D.I.Y spirit, DIG is still inspiring people to ride and create… wherever in the world they may be. For riders by riders since day one.

This weekend sees the HCS HCS skatepark premiere of CONTACT - a new film by Jonathan Walley Jon walley featuring the one and only Derek Nelson, his local community, and a very unique sound experiment.

The result is a beautifully crafted film of a unique rider’s personality, and a concept unlike anything ever seen in BMX. contactthefilm is worth watching for the way in which Derek Nelson thinks, and how he rides his bike. He moves differently. His ideas are progressive, and the homemade bike he rides creates a very unique palette from which he builds new techniques. Derek is still opening up a new realm of possibilities on a bike that looks like a stretch limousine.

Check out the interview extract above and read our full piece by Brian Tunney on DIG - 🔗 bio 👀 . Seek out the film where you can and look for it on DIG at a later date.
