Race Recap from Red Bluff outlaws Race 1
Rhett was a substitute driver this weekend as we won’t make all the points races this year. 208 cars at the opening indoor race this year, 25 of which were the little guys! Rhett clocked in 7th quick in qualifyin.
That would start him in 3rd in his heat race, dropped back one spot on the start and quickly rebounded to finish 2nd.
Main event he started 7th and was on the move! By lap 5 he was passing for second and got squeezed to the bottom where it took both cars out. Restarted 14th and made it up to 8th but on the last restart he lost a spot and was below the cone on the start so was docked 2 spots at the end of the race.
The results don’t show the speed but Car was fast, driver ran a faster lap every time he hit the track. We’ll take the improvements and carry that into our next race, still TBD…

Race Recap Cycleland speedway points race 16

One of our biggest cars counts of the year and the highest car count of the night.

Qualified 7th out of 22 cars

Heat race he started 2nd and was able to get the lead, he led most of the race until a small bobble dropped him back to 2nd where he finished.

Started 7th and survived a rough, hooked up and fast racetrack to come home 4th!

With only 2 races left in the outdoor season he is now tied for 4th in points.

Last night we were able to help first timer Brielle Lidie to make here kart debut. Rough start to the night but got some seat time in and had some fun, we hope to see you again soon!

Race Recap Cycleland Speedway🏁

Rhett the slingshot— go backwards and rocket forward was the story for the night.
Qualifying didn’t go great, clocking in 8th

Heat race, P3👉P6👉P3
Started third and got into the mud/berm on the start and dropped way back but made the charge back to front to get 3rd.

Main Event P7👉P17👉P5
motor powered him down the front stretch on the start and he tried to squeeze between 2 cars where there wasn’t enough room getting hung up with another car and going to the back. Restarted 17th and started making a charge, passing cars high and low he charged back up through the field to bring home a top 5!

Gold cup week was a good one!

Monday
Rhett raced preliminarily night of showcase at Cycleland speedway.
Started the night qualifying 3rd quick
Started pole of heat 1 and had a bad start to drop back to 3rd but was able to get back around the leaders to win the heat race. He clocked his fastest lap ever around the track that race!
Started pole of the main event and led the first 8 laps until he got into lap traffic where he checked up for a slower car and got hit from behind to spin him out. Luckily they had a good lead and he was able to keep going and stay up front. Ended up 4th and locked into the main for Tuesday nights showcase.

Showcase night-ready for redemption!
Started last in the trophy dash and got to 4th.
Started 4th in the main event and passed his way up to the front. Through multiple restarts and lap traffic he was able to maintain his lead and come out with the win and $500!!!

He had to take his big check to school and show all his friends the next day!

Friday and Saturday nights showcase we got to goto silver dollar speedway to watch the sprint cars and support our buddy
