You know, there’s a specific kind of quiet out here on these long, empty stretches of highway.

When you look out over miles of open country with nothing else around, it kind of forces you to sit with your own thoughts.

In our daily lives, we build up so much noise—
deadlines, constant notifications, and that endless urge to figure out the next step.

Half the time, we don't even realize we’re running in a fog.
Dont keep looking down the road, convinced that peace is just waiting for you at the next town or the next stop.

Because the truth is, contentment isn’t a place you finally drive into.

It’s just a choice to drop your anchors exactly where your feet are right now.

It’s pulling over on a hot day, taking a breath, and realizing that what you have in this exact moment is plenty.

Acts 2:46-47
Keeping it simple—breaking bread with glad and sincere hearts, enjoying the simple community along the road.

The scriptures talk a lot about learning the secret of being content no matter what scenario you find yourself in.

It’s not about having a perfect itinerary or an easy, smooth road.

It’s just about letting God's presence catch up with you right here on the shoulder of the highway, before you even get to where you're going.

When the land opens up like this, it reminds you that grace isn't waiting at the end of the trip.

It's already here.

So take a second, look at the road ahead, let go of the pressure to be anywhere else, and just rest in it.

Today We Boss & Gee (Jon & Tracy) are up in Oklahoma. We have been filming and checking out the to do's from the Wichita National Wildlife Refuge, To El Reno and Route 66 and now camped at Foss State Park, headed to Seiling, Ok for a funeral.

And when you stand out here in the open plains,
even as hot as it is today, you quickly realize how small you are.

The horizon stretches out for miles in every direction, and the wind just sweeps across the land with nothing to block it.

It’s beautiful, but it can also feel a bit overwhelming.

It’s easy to feel exposed, isolated, or a little bit lost in the middle of such a massive space.

Life can feel a lot like these plains sometimes.

You look around, and you feel like you are out on a limb, miles away from your comfort zone.

Maybe you’re navigating a season where the future looks wide open, but the lack of structure leaves you feeling anxious.

We all do.....

The winds of change or unexpected challenges start blowing,
and because you feel exposed,
and like "Tiny" our little camper fighting these crosswinds,
you wonder if you’re going to get knocked over.

The Prophet Isaiah reminds us of something powerful when we look at the changing landscapes of our lives.

Isaiah 40:8

'The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.'

When everything around you is shifting, things are unpredictable, and its all coming at once, FAST, you don't have to rely on your own ability to stay upright.

You don't have to be strong enough to block the wind on your own.

Your stability doesn't come from your surroundings; it comes from the foundation you are standing on.

When you feel overwhelmed by the sheer scale of what's ahead of you, you can call out this:

'From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.' (Psalm 61:2).

We filmed huge rocks today up that mountain we drove up, they are huge, God is even bigger than those Rocks and way more solid!

He is the anchor in the middle of the open plains.

You might be far from home,
at home right now,
out on the road,
or stepping into a completely new territory,
but you are never out of His reach.

Let the big openness of the world around you today simply remind you of how much bigger the One who holds you actually is."
