The goal of this page is to showcase the work being done by BISD journalism students through various forms of media. New in 2024, our students have designed

a community service project in the form of a thrift store. Funds raised through the store will be used for community service projects including landscaping, house painting and more.

Brand new items are out in our homegood section at Student Media Thrift. All proceeds help us give back to our community through 2 service projects this year. Our first service project of this school year will be held in December. Visit Saturday from 9AM until 3PM.

It has been a great start to our year in graphic design at BHS, including this large window covering for the counselor's center designed by senior Isaiah Lattis. In this project Isaiah took an idea, produced several examples working back and forth with the client before printing the final graphic in our lab. This is just of many projects our design students have already knocked out this year, with plenty more to come!

Our Student Media thrift store has one of the best selections of BISD merch around thanks to generous donations from our community. Some items are brand new, while others are gently used. Best of all, all adult BISD gear is just $3 while childrens merch is $1. Be prepared for homecoming by picking up some Bear gear! We are open Wednesdays from 4-6:30 and on Saturdays from 9AM-3PM.

This Friday is red, white and blue across BISD and our thrift store has these "game day ready" shirts in various sizes that are perfect for this themed day. Shop with us tonight (Wednesday) from 4-6:30 p.m. to pick up a shirt before Friday. Adult shirts are just $3 while children's shirts are $1.
