How can I celebrate “freedom” in a country where immigrants — people seeking safety, opportunity, and a better life — are being treated with cruelty and indifference?

🛑 Families are still being separated.
🛑 Children are locked in detention centers.
🛑 Asylum seekers are turned away, dehumanized, and criminalized.
🛑 Immigrants who help build and sustain this country live in fear, facing threats of deportation, violence, or abuse.

This is not the America we’re told to celebrate.
Independence Day should represent liberty and justice for all — not just for the privileged, not just for the documented, not just for those born here.

I love my community. I love people. And because of that, I will not celebrate a nation that turns its back on the tired, the poor, the huddled masses it once claimed to welcome.

Today there's no true dignity and humanity for all immigrants, even for alot of the citizens!!

😡🤧 Before anybody else messages me — YES, I’m aware of the pictures of me in the shower going around on social media.

It was done out of revenge. I’m not ashamed. I even posted the pic in the comments myself because I don’t care what anybody gotta say about me. It is what it is! Life goes on!!
