Blessings Dear Brethren,
When we see Scripture in its proper context as it is the context of The One that wrote it, and even though it was given for our instruction we must understand it was written outside time as we know it. Our Divine Creator transcends time and Scripture has the same attribute, it Transcends time as it is alive. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My Words shall not pass away. Mark 13:31
Prophecy then has to be understood in this context as it can (and most does) have multiple fulfillments. Cyclical time means layers upon layers of the same prophecy being fulfilled. Just as archaeologists have to dig beneath the ground to find an older “ layer” of time in the exact same spot.
We see this through out the Bible: YeHoVaH’s people falling then being delivered. then prospering, then disobeying Him, then being judged, then crying out to Him haven fallen again then being delivered again. This pattern repeats itself again and again, simply because we fail to learn from those that have gone through theses cycles before us.
“We learn from History that man does not learn from History” George Hegel
We fall because we fail to believe that “what happened to them, will happen to me”. We somehow convince ourselves that we are above or even beyond what happened to others in our same circumstances and in our time. This is self-delusion it is as the Scriptures describe: foolishness thinking that Divine Mercy and delayed judgment are somehow proof that those things do not apply to us.
During the time before the flood, Noah described as a "preacher of righteousness" warned of the coming judgment only to be mocked, persecuted and ridiculed, that is until the door of the Ark was shut and judgment fell. You see judgment was delayed because of mercy but instead of receiving it the delay was taken as a false prophecy so they went about their own worldly concerns, they focused on the world and perished.
The Israelites in Egypt embraced the ways of their pagan Egyptian masters when their Savior delayed. They had by then become comfortable in their bo***ge. When the King of Israel Saul was given instructions by Elohim through the prophet Samuel, he was told to wait for him but when he saw his circumstances, his enemies gathering against him he decided to take matters into his own hands. And made a burnt offering on his own. We then read: how Samuel rebuked Saul and told him that because he did not obey the kingdom would be taken from him 1 Samuel 13:8-14. You see when Abba delays it has the effect of bringing out what is in our heart. It displays for all to see what kind of faith we have and who is our real master. It is inevitable, the fruit will show.
The prophet Jeremiah cried out for Judah to repent for forty years but they beat him and threw him in a cistern. They said to themselves “while the house of Elohim is here we cannot be destroyed” again self-delusion that cost them 70 years in cruel and bitter bo***ge seeing their families carried as slaves to a heathen and cruel nation, because judgment tarried or took a long time before it came they mocked Jeremiah and went about their worldly concerns. And the temple of Elohim was destroyed by Him on the 9th day of the month of Av.
Yeshua warns us of this: “But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.”
Luke 12:45-46
Perhaps the greatest warning to us and the least understood is in the parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25:1-13.
5 Virgins are wise and 5 are foolish. 5 prepared themselves with enough oil in case the bridegroom tarried the foolish ones did not and are left outside.
You see all of them are virgins (believers) and all them fell asleep when the bridegroom tarried, but only 5 did not allow the concerns of the world impede them from preparing themselves for a potential delay, the others, the foolish, they are foolish even unto their own destruction.
When Yeshua was about to be crucified He went to pray in the garden of Gethsemane and He told His “inner circle” of Apostles to “watch and pray” and they could not even do that, they were caught sleeping, of-guard and were then scattered and even worse they then betrayed their own Savior. It took bitter repentance and His divine forgiveness for them to be restored as His own as they were just as guilty as Judas.
Brethren, the so called church today has seen that our Savior has tarried and it is fast asleep, some even beating and mocking His servants that are calling it to wake up and repent. Foolishly concentrated on worldly concerns, concerned about their "stuff", unable to see the signs of the times. Saying to themselves "The Lord knows my heart". Again self-delusion. We must be like the sons of Isaacar knowing the times and the seasons! But in truth most don't want to know! Rebellion is equated with witchcraft in The Scriptures, this is why we see so many "Christians" obsessed and in love with witches and the occult. Eager to celebrate it and embrace it!
Has your promises tarried? Take care of what comes out of your heart while it does!
Sin begets sin! Rebellion begets destruction! We must go about His commandments in Truth and Love! We must stand even if we stand alone, keeping enough oil for our own lamps.
This time of testing and refinement is meant to test and refine your faith. To prepare you for what is at hand. Be encouraged and overcome!
Read the 2nd and 3rd chapters of Revelation, they are meant to give you the tools you need in case He tarries. So you can overcome.
The alternative is to not learn from the past cycles, like Judah, that rejected their long awaited Messiah in deep rebellion and beat Him and Crucified Him and then again, judgment fell on them on the 9th day of the Month of Av, the Temple was destroyed, again, and they scattered, again, dispersed throughout the world.
Judah expected a Lion and was sent a Lamb, the church is expecting a Lamb and will be sent a Lion! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!
Many are praying for revival without praying for repentance, we fail to understand there is no revival without repentance!
This lesson is also taught over and over and yet we delude ourselves in the belief that it does not apply to us. Let the rebellious and the mockers do what is in their own heart and nature to do! "Let the dead bury their own dead". You will know them by their fruit, their actions, not their words.
The time of restoration is upon us, but it will come with great tribulation and shakings, so together we must in His love watch and pray while we go about His work, bringing in the harvest, that He may find us laboring for Him and His. As it becomes darker the light in you will become brighter, let it shine!
In Love,
Rafael Teviño
