On November 6th 1970, Aerosmith plugged in for their first-ever gig, rocking the stage at Nipmuc Regional High School in Mendon, Massachusetts. Not exactly a stadium… but legends have to start somewhere.

Dubbed “The Bad Boys from Boston,” Aerosmith would go on to become the best-selling American rock band of all time, moving over 150 million albums worldwide and stacking up more gold and multi-platinum records than any American group in history.

From a high school stage to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Aerosmith proved you don’t start legendary… you become legendary.

On this day, Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil had a warrant issued for his arrest after allegedly knocking a soundman unconscious during a show at Gilley’s Nightclub in Dallas.

Reports say Neil wanted more volume on his guitar...and let’s just say things got louder than anyone expected.
