MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Thank you to all the veteran and auxiliary organizations, Emergency Medical Services, law enforcement and fire department personnel who participated in today’s 9/11 remembrance services in Ladysmith.

We had the largest turnout ever, which is fitting since this was the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and the 250 year of our country’s birth.

Thank you for showing the public that we have not forgotten who lost their lives on that day and those who have suffered and died from ailments associated with the attacks on our country.

Reminder to all veterans, law enforcement, emergency medical services personnel and firefighters. Tomorrow, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we will be honoring the memory of those who lost and sacrificed their lives during the worst attack on our country since Pearl Harbor. Let's show our communities that we have not forgotten 9/11 and never will.

Please join us on the corner of highways 8 & 27, Verizon parking lot, when we salute those lost during all four attacks. Wear your appropriate uniform or something that identifies you as a member of one of the forementioned services.

Please arrive no later than 7:15 a.m.

Yesterday, the Bruce American Legion, Earl J. Conley Post 268, had the honor and privilege of awarding Korean War veteran Stanley Moore, with an Honorary Life Membership for his “70” years of continuous membership in the American Legion AND Earl J. Conley Post 268.
