From the beginning

90.7 WAY Radio went on the air in November of 1998. The original founder of WAY Radio in Jacksonville, Dan Richardson, had pursued buying an FM station in Brunswick, Georgia, but that never materialized back in the mid 1980's. In January of 1998 Dick Weer, General manager of WAY Radio, received a call about 90.7 in Brunswick being for sale. He talked to the board of directors which told him to pursue the frequency and the sale was made a couple of months later. 90.7 WAY Radio went on the air in November of 1998. God brought changes to WAY Radio in 2002 when Luke Stephens was hired as the new General Manager and the format of 90.7 WAY Radio was changed to a Contemporary Christian Format.
