💥 The King’s Word of the Day
📖 1 John 1:9 — “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
That word if changes everything. It means the promise of forgiveness is real, but it’s conditional. Grace is waiting, but honesty is the door. Before you can reach the promise, you’ve got to stop and look inward.
When was the last time you did a spiritual temperature check? Not just asked God for blessings, but actually asked, “How are we?” Because relationship with Yahweh, like any other, needs care and attention. You can’t assume closeness if you never check the distance.
And when you do ask, be ready for the truth. Sometimes He’ll say, “We’re good. You’re still My child. I still love you.” But He’ll also add, “You’re slipping here. Fix that, and we’ll grow closer.” That’s not rejection—it’s refinement. That’s His mercy in motion.
Confession isn’t just about listing wrongs; it’s about realignment. It’s surrendering the illusion of “I’m fine” and letting Him show you where to heal. That’s where grace meets awareness.
And then comes the promise—He is faithful and just. But not “just” like human justice that demands punishment. God’s justice is fulfilled through grace. Even before Christ came, He was setting the stage for mercy to win. His justice doesn’t call for your condemnation—it calls for what’s already been done through the cross. Because of Jesus, the judgment we deserved turned into the grace we received.
So don’t wait for Sunday to check in. Every day is a chance to confess, to realign, and to grow closer in relationship. Because the promise isn’t just forgiveness—it’s fellowship with Christ. When you step into honesty, you step into intimacy with Him.
So what’s your temperature today? Are you walking in confession—or just in comfort?
