I’ve got something that’s been on my mind for a week now. I will start by saying myself and anyone else that’s with me or helping try to be as professional as possible. Sometimes that isn’t easy, and I wont mention any names but there was a small incident that happened between a friend and someone helping me. It was a public event and I had a someone singing a song and in the middle of it she wasn’t feeling it. Wanted to know if we could change it so of course we cut it and went into her new song. That’s when I got told I went from being their favorite DJ to not anymore. I was talking with the singer to find out what song to switch to and the friend who don’t like me anymore proceeds to tell us how to do our job, which I thought we were handling it as good as possible, anyways the person helping me just made the comment that she didn’t want to sing that song and jokingly told the singer “she’s not the one paying”. Then I get a few messages telling me I need to keep my people in check. It’s just been bugging me how things got blown way out of proportion and to this moment I have no idea why.
