Vintage Costa Mesa Speedway 1974. USA vs The World. Featuring Ivan Mauger, Barry Briggs, Bert Hawkins Chris Pusey, Zenon Plech vs. Mike Bast, Steve Bast, Sonny Nutter, Danny Becker, Rick Curoso and Bill Cody. One of those Harry Oxley events. Thanksgiving Speedway! Semi 1 from the 55th U.S. National Speedway Championship at Costa Mesa Speedway. Broc Nicol Racing blew his engine and got tangled up with the Fast One in that terrible turn 3! #14 Fast Eddie Castro who made history as the oldest Speedway racer to win 2 heats and qualify for the Semi in a US National. Nigel was very surprised.
