People pleasing doesn’t end with a grand gesture or proclamation.
It shifts over time within every little moment. Every no to an old habitual choice, every yes to something new, every pause instead of reacting, every breath in and out.
It adds up over time.
I see a lot of my fellow healers, spiritually minded folks, and those on a healing path come to me with underlying habits of people pleasing. I was the same at the start of my spiritual journey.
You’re not alone!
There’s a variety of daily and in the moment techniques that you can use. Techniques you can learn from therapy, martial arts, spiritual practices, yoga, etc.
For me, the spiritual path is what empowered me to start recovering from being a people pleaser. Things like daily meditation, breath, work, journaling, mindful, nature walks, nature, photography, and of course, self-care Reiki. All of those things when integrated into my daily life, turned the tide and empowered me to start making different choices in conversations and decision making.
