Living With Spinal Stenosis

Living With Spinal Stenosis Hello friends! I share my personal journey with lumbar spinal stenosis. I’m not a doctor, and this isn’t medical advice—just honest experiences and research.

I provide C.A.R.E.—Community, Awareness, Resources, and Empowerment—so you feel supported.

Some days, living with spinal stenosis means celebrating the small victories.

Maybe today you walked to the mailbox. Maybe you stood a little longer while cooking. Maybe you completed a few laps around your kitchen table. Or maybe your victory was simply getting out of bed and facing the day.

Progress doesn't always look like a long walk or a pain-free day. Sometimes progress is choosing not to give up when your legs feel heavy, your back hurts, or you're frustrated by what your body can and cannot do.

Remember: movement is not about perfection. It's about maintaining what you can do today while building toward what you may be able to do tomorrow.

👇 Share your win from today in the comments, no matter how small. Let's encourage each other and celebrate every step forward.
"The goal isn't to be where you were before spinal stenosis. The goal is to be stronger than you were yesterday."

“What daily activity has become the hardest for you because of spinal stenosis — walking, standing, sleeping, driving, cooking, or something else?”

Having a disability license plate I parked and got out of the car, I had this Officer say to me, "well, you look perfectly normal to me and you cannot park there!", as I turned to look at him and said, very seriously, "maybe that's part of the problem, you can't see what's lurking under my shell." The look on his face was priceless! Just because YOU can't SEE it doesn't mean it doesn't exist! Until you have walked in our shoes and have felt the pain we feel, keep your cruel and ignorant comments and opinions to yourself. I'm posting to stop people from mocking and laughing at people for things beyond their control...
Not one of my Facebook friends will copy and paste (but I am counting on a true family member or friend to do it). If you would be there no matter what, then copy and paste this. I'm doing this to prove a friend wrong that someone is always listening. I care.
Hard to explain to someone who has no clue. It's a daily struggle being in pain or feeling sick on the inside while you look fine on the outside.
Please put this as your status for at least 1 hour if you or someone you know has an invisible illness (End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), IBS, Crohn's, PTSD, Anxiety, Arthritis, Cancer, Heart Disease, Bipolar, Depression, Diabetes, Lupus, Chronic pain, Spinal Stenosis, Fibromyalgia, MS, AS, ME, , Epilepsy, hereditary angioedema , Migraines, Hashimotos, Autism, Sciatic injuries, M.D.,D.D.D., CFS, Histiocytosis, O.D.D, A.D.H.D, RSD, RA (rheumatoid arthritis ) Sjogren’s syndrome, PBC,RLS ,COPD, ALS, Sarcoidosis, etc.) Never judge cause you cannot see a traumatic brain injury/heart attack victim. 💜🙏🏾
For those who don't know how to copy and paste on FB...hold your finger on the text.
I’m posting this to support all those with invisible illnesses🙏🏾
